Creative Direction for social content used to promote the weekly show.
THE CHALLENGE: The client wanted to have vertical social video content that promoted upcoming episodes or recap past episodes. These pieces would highlight specific show themes, character relationships or character personalities.
I came up with several concepts to engage the younger portion of the show’s audience on video first platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. Using cultural moments, trends and other subtle cultural cues, we created video content from show clips that highlighted the tone, antics and humor of So Help Me Todd while relating it to trending topics, buzzwords and more. I created the themes and after client approval found clips for each video. I then directed our video editors and motion graphic designers on how the videos would come together. Providing order of clips, scripts and even sound effects.
The assets came out weekly along with other assets the network had already planned to post. Several times we received great feedback from cast members that were co-posting with the network or sharing to their own social channels. A number of the assets from my team and I still live HERE.
Horizontal images are press images for show, the 3-up screenshot image grids are from videos created and produced by my team and I. This was a fun campaign as I was not familiar with the show until working on this. I became a fan of the show and then saw a friend was an actor on the show. Seeing him and the actors repost some of the assets my team and I created was very cool.
